ORCA is proud to be participating in Rhode Island’s first (and likely only) PowerPoint Improv Comedy fundraiser—an event where presenters take the stage with zero preparation and attempt to deliver presentations on completely random topics… using slides they’ve never seen before. The result is unpredictable, awkward, and genuinely hilarious.
Seven local nonprofits, including ORCA, will each select a “champion” to compete on stage. Presenters may be tasked with delivering anything from a wedding toast to a college lecture or infomercial all improvised in real time. At the end of the night, the audience decides the winner by casting votes using poker chips.
Here’s where it matters: every vote placed for ORCA’s presenter directly supports our mission. All funds raised through voting will be donated to the nonprofit competitors, while ticket proceeds will benefit Valkyrie Dragons.
